How we research products
For every product covered on this site we collect information from the following sources:
- The vendor’s own product documentation, pricing pages, and changelogs
- Independent customer review patterns on G2, Capterra, TrustRadius, and Software Advice
- Public discussions on Reddit (industry-specific subreddits), HackerNews, and product communities
- Direct product trials where free tiers or trials are available
- Comparison against competing tools in the same category
How we structure recommendations
“Best of” lists are not ordered by overall product quality. They are ordered by best fit for the segment named in the article title. The CRM that wins for solo consultants is rarely the same CRM that wins for enterprise sales teams. We try to make those fit criteria explicit in every list so you can judge whether our reasoning matches yours.
How we keep content current
Software products change quickly. Pricing, features, integrations, and ownership all shift. We re-check every “best of” article and individual product review at least every six months. The “Last updated” date on each article reflects the most recent substantive review of its content. If a product undergoes a major change (acquisition, pricing overhaul, feature deprecation), we aim to update affected articles sooner.
Corrections
If you find a factual error in any article on this site — an outdated price, a misattributed feature, an integration that no longer works — please contact us. We will correct verified errors and add a correction note when the change is material.
AI assistance disclosure
Like most modern publications, we use large language models to assist with research summarisation, draft generation, and editorial review. All published content is reviewed by a human editor before publication.
